How I Survive November
I'm not the biggest fan of Autumn, although over the last few years I've tried to embrace it more and to find things I do like about it.
I struggle with it is the shorter days and generally where I live, dull and wet days as I live in one of the wettest places in the UK.
So, how do I try and embrace it and ease into the Autumnal months? By seeing the beauty in every day where I can.
Things like;
- cool, crisp mornings,
- sunny blue skies,
- a beautiful sky in the morning,
- the first cup of tea in the morning,
- cosy PJs and socks,
- a beautiful sunset,
- milky hot chocolate,
- my homemade vegetarian bolognese
And I plan things to look forward to;
- comfort foods,
- meeting up with friends,
- watching my favourite films,
- watching Christmas films way too early,
I look at ways in which I can be kinder and more gentle with myself as we move from Autumn through into Winter. I practice self-care, self-love, gratitude and remember to slow down enough to breathe and see the beauty around me like a beautiful sunset or sunrise.
Especially this year, we need to be kinder to ourselves and others.
