Christmas traditions always change and evolve and that is okay. That's part of life. They change because of circumstances or because children grow up or like in my case, we move country. I spent some of my childhood years in Germany and we had one set of traditions at Christmas that then changed when we moved back to the UK.

I have been single for a couple of years now and while I was occasionally on a few online dating sites, I wasn’t fully engaged in the thought of meeting someone new. I also had more work to do on myself to help heal the trauma from my last big relationship from over ten years ago. I feel in a much better place now mentally to be more able to meet up with people I know of an online dating site.

I’ve had this blog now for a few months and I thought it was high time that I should introduce myself to you all and tell you a little bit more about myself.

Here we are, the last week or the last five days of the August Break photo challenge.

Week four already, blimey this month is flying by! And it's starting to feel a bit autumnal here in the NW of England but it's a few weeks until the end of the month.

Week three already! Wow, that's gone fast! Only a few more weeks of The August Break to go now. Are any of you doing the challenge as well?

I’ve signed up for Susannah Conway’s August Break again this year. She comes up with an optional prompt for each day of the month originally, coming up with the idea when she wanted a small break about ten years ago from blogging. Instead, she decided to post a photo every day to her blog for the month of August. This was in the days way before Instagram, although the August Break now it lends itself perfectly to the social media platform. Over the last few years, Susannah has also created an optional Facebook group for the people wanting to create a small online community around the challenge.
