February Update
We are already into March! January dragged on for about a year and February lasted about a week! Did anyone else think that?
I've had an unintentional hiatus from posting, I don't know why other than I didn't seem like I had anything to write about. Here's a little update on a few things that have been going on.
My anxiety was up in February due to me spending some time off work with tennis elbow over January and February. Because I wasn't able to physically do things that I wanted to while I was off; like continuing with my clear out. Or do certain things at work like merchandising or even the basics of zipping up coats, or rehanging trousers because it hurt my left elbow after doing a few, it's been very frustrating and much harder for me to deal with than I thought I would be.
I didn't get any valentines cards or wishes not that I was expecting any and didn't send any as I don't have anyone to send them to. I'm not a complete fan of Valentine's day, I think that it's far too commercial. I'd like to be shown love and appreciation on more than just one day of the year from my significant other. Every year when certain shops are full of fluffy red hearts and the like, it just reminds me that I'm single. I've only ever celebrated one Valentines day and that was the first one with my horrible ex and I've only been in a relationship for about ten in total.
I've been back to work for three weeks and basically on light duties for the first couple and slowly the last week I've been testing my elbow to see what I can and can't do just yet. I'm happy to report that I am getting better and that I'm able to do much more than I was a few weeks ago. Huzzah!
We booked or works Christmas meal for early March, we always have it around then because retail in December and January for us is crazy busy. It's all calmed down by February/March. I was intending to book it for February but because I was off sick from work, I forgot about it.
We had a few warm weeks in late February, leading daffodils to bloom and some people to no doubt start thinking about putting away their big winter coat. I even had a few days at work where I didn't wear a base layer under my work shirt which is unheard of for this time of year.
I've had a few more online dating app matches and even some replies from a couple leading to a short conversation but nothing to update on that front just yet. Most guys don't even bother replying to my message. I'm beginning to wonder yet again what's the point in it all. I've noticed that a large proportion of the guys' profiles don't have a bio and or they haven't answered any of the questions to give the viewer a bit of an idea about them. If there's neither I will swipe no on them as it's more difficult to also come up with an initial message that might pique their interest and their likelihood of replying back to me.
I made some cards as there are three birthdays in March and in the UK we have Mothers day at the end of the month. I've hand made cards for many years and it's something that I enjoy doing. I've found that many people really appreciate receiving a handmade card and I get enjoyment from making them as well. Double bonus.
If you're interested I can do a post on some of the cards I've made in the past. Just let me know in the comments below.
We're slowly getting new season stock into work and as I'm now able to do more, I'm finally getting to do some visual merchandising. This is helping my anxiety to feel much better and I'm feeling much better overall. I'm still being very careful, asking for help when I need it and I'm unable to change mannequins at the moment but at least I am able to do more than I was a few weeks ago.
