Three of the former cast members of the One Tree Hill TV show are rewatching an episode at a time and then sharing their thoughts and memories about each episode on this podcast.

They have had a couple of co-stars on the show already as well; Lee Norris who played Marvin ‘Mouth’ McFadden. Barbara Alyn Woods played Deb Scott, Antwon Tanner who played Antwon ‘Skills’ Taylor and Moyra Kelly who played Karen and will no doubt have more of their former co-stars on future episodes.

I’ve watched the show numerous times over the years but it’s so cool to rewatch an episode and then have them break it down with what they experienced at the time filming and hearing them reminisce about their memories both good and bad.  Bethany, Hilarie and Sophia also share some of the behind the scenes information that may or may not have been shared elsewhere.

It’s fun to hear their recollections from certain scenes alongside their memories of the time they spent in Wilmington North Carolina during filming and they seem to have a genuine fondness for the years they spent there.  I’m learning so much about the show from how it started and it’s interesting to hear their viewpoints from each episode all these years later from an adult perspective.  They were playing high school kids while they were in their early twenties, but you’re still so young at that age because you’ve not lived out in the world away from your parents home for long enough.  Now at thirty-nine and forty, they’ve matured enough to see the show and the characters they played in a completely different light.

They grew up together while filming the show and formed such a tight friendship from all their shared experiences you can hear the love they have for each other come through as they discuss each episode.  They mention local landmarks from pubs, streets and the places that they lived, some of which can still be seen today.

There are two episodes for the first season of the TV left and I don’t know if they will have a break in the podcast for a bit before starting season two or whether they will carry on without one.

They are doing the podcast to reclaim their time working on the show as they had such a difficult time while working on it, it’s been documented elsewhere about the reports of alleged sexual harassment that happened on the set of the show.*

*Please note, I only say alleged, because as far as I can research, the alleged perpetrator has never been charged with anything even though allegations followed them to another show that they worked on, which they were suspended, and subsequently fired from.
