New Christmas Tree Decorations

Another Christmas tradition of mine is to get one or two new decorations for my Christmas tree. Last year I got two new ones but this year I got a couple more than I intended. My tree has a colour theme of mainly red, white and silver.

Last year I got two Harry Potter bauble decorations which I hadn't intended on getting but they caught my eye as I was doing my Christmas shopping, so I had to get them because they were Harry Potter related.

This year, I ended up getting more than one or two decorations *ahem*  I hadn't intended on getting any new decorations this year let alone this many. Now I know that the house baubles don't all match my colour scheme but I can put them in less obvious places.

While I was decorating my tree this year, I did have a clear out of the decorations as I put them on, so I don't feel too bad about all the Harry Potter decorations I got.  Although, I remembered this week that I got two tree decorations from when I was in Scotland in May. They were supposed to be this year's new tree decorations.

So I've just got those out and put them on my tree as well. The crown is part of the Scottish Royal crown jewels. Do you have any tree-related traditions like always having to have certain decorations on from years gone by?
