Carrie Hope Fletcher's May, Myself and I
This week I was going to sit down and brainstorm ideas of what blog posts to write this month, and then Carrie Hope Fletcher who I follow on Instagram and YouTube posted an Instagram story about her thoughts on posting a video on her YouTube channel every day for the month of May.
She's calling it 'May, Myself and I' a title which I love!
She asked her followers to suggest video ideas and here are the prompts she's picked from their suggestions.
Carrie posted a video on her YouTube channel earlier today to explain a bit more about it and she said how she would love her followers and subscribers to get involved and is really looking forward to how everyone interprets the prompts. She explained the prompts can be used for tweets, poems, IG photos, blog posts, videos, stories, whatever; "Let's be creative for the sake of being creative as a collective."
As soon as she posted the prompts on her IG story yesterday, I thought of asking her about borrowing them for blog posts, so it's awesome that she's wanting us all to get involved. I did a blog post challenge last year for the Blurt Foundation's Self-careathon which I really enjoyed and it helped me to get into regular blogging as I'd not long since started my blog.
Some of these prompts sound initially like they're going to definitely be difficult to think of what to write about, and even more so to find photo's - even from my extensive collection - to go into the posts. But that's the point of things like this, to challenge ourselves in many ways, to get us thinking about things differently and to get us out of our comfort zone as well.
Feel free to head on over to Carrie's YouTube channel and watch her introduction to May, Myself and I and even join in as well. We are all creative in our own ways, let's share it with the world!
