Rest.

This third UK lockdown is hitting me harder this time. It feels so different than the other two and things are a lot more of an effort. I'm struggling to get to sleep and as a consequence, I'm sleeping in later. It's also winter, I always tend to sleep more in the winter months.

I'm giving myself even more grace this time around because it's been a tough 2020 and we've no real idea when things will ease off.

I'm listening to my body and what it needs much more as well. Does it need to move, rest or stretch? Do I need to find something to binge-watch, to read something and be inspired or to sit in silence and just listen?

I'm still journaling a lot; exploring how I'm feeling and trying to catch all the thoughts that are swimming around my head. Things are still being kicked up from all the progress that I made in therapy last year, which is understandable as there's still a great deal to un-pick, work through and heal.

I'm getting more involved with my church, by starting to help out at the food market they do for the local community who need a bit of help and I've also started to lead some of the faith-based journaling nights. This is helping me to pray, have quiet time with God and listen to what he wants to tell me.
