Blurt Self Careathon Day 25

Water

I live in one of the wettest places in the UK. We're often talking about how much it's rained and as soon as the sun comes out to play, the summer clothing comes out of mothballs and all the arms and legs are suddenly on show as well as a lot of guys having a t-shirt shortage.  Everyone you know locally has an impromptu barbecue and all the ice cream and bags of ice and are bought from the supermarkets.  Is this a British thing or just a northern thing?

We are always joking about how we only get one day of summer a year;

"Do you remember that one day of summer we had last year?" "That one day in May/June/July?"

And it rains most of the Bank Holidays but I confess, I actually love watching the rain.  I always have done.  Watching the raindrops chase each other down the window and the drops forming ripple in the puddles.  *sigh*  Bliss.

I drink on average around two litres of water a day, not counting however many cups of tea I drink!  I need about half a litre as soon as possible after I've woken up to help wake me up so I am to be able to function and think clearer.  Clean running water is such a precious commodity.  A few years go the area where I live had a Cryptosporidium outbreak in the water supply, meaning for a couple of months over summer we had to boil all our water to drink, clean our teeth and rinse any food.  In the middle of this outbreak, I travelled to Yorkshire to visit a friend for a few days and it seemed so strange to be able to drink water from the tap and rinse my toothbrush straight under the running water without having to boil the water!

I've recently purchased my first Lush Kama Bubble Bar and I used some of it for the first time the other night.  I love the Karma products, the smell I find amazing, relaxing and uplifting for me.  I think I am a Lush Bubble Bar/Bath Bomb convert.
