It’s been a while since I did an introduction to myself so I thought that I would do one now.

I am mildly allergic to wasp stings.

I have been stung twice in my life with the most recent being a few years ago in August 2019. This last time my hand and arm came out in a rash after being stung on my hand in between my thumb and index finger. Luckily I was working opposite a pharmacy at the time so I headed over to seek some advice. I now carry a few creams and antihistamine tablets with me at all times, just in case.

I passed my driving test aged 38

I passed it on March 17th 2014 after 9 months of lessons, on my fourth attempt and with tonsillitis following a visit to the doctors earlier that morning and having been prescribed antibiotics for it. Here in the UK, we have to pass a theory test before we are permitted to book and take the practical driving test and I just passed the theory on the required mark.

I had my last job for almost fourteen years.

I started my last job on May 9th 2007 with my last day of employment being Sunday, April 18, 2021. I had been there for far too long but I wasn’t in the right place mentally to move on and although I had applied for a few jobs in the previous few years, and I even had interviews for some of those, however, I wasn’t confident enough in my own abilities to sell myself well enough. I talked here about why I was changing jobs.

I used to live in Germany

My dad was in the British Army when I was younger and when he got posted to Germany, my mum, brother and I all went with him. I lived there from when I was around 1 to the summer after my 8th birthday in 1984. I can still remember many things about my time there and I’m grateful that I had that opportunity to live in another country.
